I love the NPR first listen series, they always have some great music. This week I have been listening the the new record by Stephen Malkmus (ex-Pavement) and the Jicks. So far this sounds very promising, and is produced by Beck. I hear a little Pavement, a little Beck, a song that sounds like Nick Drake, and your regular Jicks tunes. Take a listen at NPR:
